Xmas Eve At Gurney Drive

Every year during Xmas eve at Gurney Drive, there will be celebrations and parties along the street. Since i have never been to any Xmas Eve or New Year Eve celebrations at Gurney Drive before, this year i went there to have a look with my schoolmates.

Planned to go there around 10pm but my area had a blackout so Charles and I went there around 8pm.

Went for pool and snooker.Gurney Plaza closed at 10pm so we went to G hotel while waiting for others.


Met Ah Boo and Daniel in the hotel.

Everyone was filling in the hotel until the guards have to stop,check and only allow hotel guests to go in.Luckily we went in earlier so we wont have to wait outside. Was supposed to go outside to meet Nick n Zez but the whole scout gang came as well, in their 勇 t-shirt.
Haha, no wonder people kept noticing us..
The whole place was crowded. But the snow spray cans were more than the people there..

People Taking Wedding Photos Outside Football Field

Was going to the football field for football like every Friday , this time surprisingly, saw a couple in their wedding attires and a photographer with his assistants taking wedding photos outside College General which is the place i play football there.
 
 
Its not that people taking wedding photos is a big deal but why choose a open field  with dirty chairs and the place was filled with garbage and dog poop?  

Plus, the houses next to the place weren't really a good scenery for the photos rite?
But surely photos are going to be nice since they are professionals and they won't see all the ugly things in their photos.

Night Market at Batu Ferringhi

My elder brother just came back from Singapore last week, since he had never seen the Batu Ferringhi Night Market before and the last time i went there was like 1 or 2 years ago, so we decided to go there.

The night market wasn't so different from the last time i went there , most of the stalls were selling "branded" bags like LV, Gucci and Prada and "branded" watches like Rolex,Swatch, Tag Heuer, Omega and Amani. I actually nearly bought one Tag Heuer watch but changed my mind since i'm not so convinced with the quality.

Every brand of watches you know, only the price is 3 or 4 zeros fewer.

Some of the t-shirts there were not bad, especially parody t-shirts. Some were funny, some were very cool, some will attract attention and mostly were inappropiate. I actually saw NickChan.net's 粪 t-shirt there.They didnt allow people to take photos of it, so cant show it.

Mum spent most of her time there looking at drawings, decorations and some souveniers. She always said to me always bargained with the dealers since the night market there always sells stuffs with a very high price. She bought some nice decorations with a good price.
                     
                                          

At the end, I didn't buy anything other than a pair of Nikes for a good price of course..

Flock 2.0

After trying out safari,mozilla firefox,chrome, opera and IE as you can see on the bottom left of my screen, i found another new browser which is quite popular..

It called Flock. It is also powered by Mozilla like Firefox.
The special thing about Flock is that it was made for bloggers and people who uses photo sharing , email etc a lot..

A little intro about it.
On the left side of the screen, there's all the accounts status and updates i've signed in..
Under it there's a whole lot bunch of services you can sign into directly, exp: facebook, twitter, picasa,blogger etc..
On top of the centre screen, there's a search tab for various webs like youtube, flickr, facebook and results will be displayed there immediately..

For a browser, i have to say it is quite interesting and fresh compared to many browsers which only provides basic browser stuffs..

I've just installed it so i havent fully explored and install all the add ons yet..Why dont you give a try? The web is here.

Was browsing for some info about Lamborghini, which is one of the few car brands i'm really attracted to. Another thing was one day i saw a newspaper article about cars which consume the most petrol, and Lamborghini's Murcielago was on top of that list with 100 litres of petrol for 340km..

Then, i thought this must be the most expensive and fastest car..But i was so wrong..

Starwalk 2008

Last marathon for me this year, which was starwalk...

Heard of it few years ago, but never bothered to enter until our good pj teacher introduced us to marathons..

Anyway, i heard my friends said the freebies they're giving are quite attractive compared to other marathons..

The first sight when i collected the freebies+t-shirt bag was Woah! not bad arh..Nice plastic bag..

Inside the plastic bag was :

An envelope with my number cloth in it..

An advance walker's guide..

The so called " attractive freebies" were lots of coffee,tea,nutritional drinks,bathing foam and some "wind-oil"...I expected more things like memorabilias or maybe the nice Digi tissue box when i attended the Penang Bridge marathon since Digi was the main sponsor for Starwalk..

Last but no least..A very plain t-shirt for this year's Starwalk..

Did not took many photos as i was very sleepy coz i had to wake up at around 4.30 as my friend who took me to PISA came around 5am..

Xiu Xin and Hock Sheng were my partners during the walk as they were in the competition category as well..Surprisingly we saw Jing Xiang in the competition category..No offense.. 

We noticed that most of the fast walkers were using the same tactic which was the shaking the hips thingy..

After the race, got myself a certificate like any other marathon..

Got bunch of free foods and drinks outside the arena..Digi was giving out free popcorn..there was free 100 plus,cereals,sunquick,milo etc...

Wanted to go home to sleep but my friend who was taking me home had this "Starwalk's Next Top Model" fancy dress competition.. So i had to go inside the arena and wait till the event's over..

People were everywhere..Many game booths for the walkers to play..

I didnt play as people lined up from the booth till the toilet..SWT..

This was the "Starwalk's Next Top Model" Fancy Dress competition..

There were only 4 teams though..Equator Arts in the wizard and witch costumes, Golden Sand Hotel in beach costumes , Bayview Hotel in Christmas costumes and Rasa Sayang Hotel in some flower and tree costumes...

Rasa Sayang came in first and Equator took second place..

Went home afterwards and slept the whole day of course!

Old Town Coffee With Friends..

After our club dinner at CRC on thursday,all of us didnt want to go home so a cup of coffee first and some talking first..

All of us had transport problems to go from CRC to New World Park's Old Town, so our former president, Victor gave us a ride in his Saga which i'm not really sure its a Saga..And of course for most young people who doesnt need to pay for their petrol, he "lapped" his car and and brought us around New World Park for like 4 rounds before we managed to sort out who needs to pay the 2 freaking ringgit parking fee..

As i said, most of the young people nowadays dont argue for things they dont need to pay, but if they're paying themselves, they argued for every leg hair of it..

We chose the best spot of the place, and ordered the 2nd cheapest drinks in the shop, Old Town's Normal Coffee..

Not that all of us were broke, but we just dont spend on things like coffee..well i crapped a lot in this post..dunno why..

New stuffs from PC Fair

Actually i was supposed to be working at the PC fair for the 3 days..But got aeroplaned..

So instead, i became a buyer...

My 320Gb in my comp is running out, so got myself a 1TB WD Mybook external hard drive..

so now i got 1320Gb, which i hope i dont finish it too soon..

Looks ok, but so far so good..Anyone needs an external hard drive still can head to the PC Fair since it is still going on till sunday...Its a little cheaper than the normal retail price if you got the time to survey and find the best deal..

Other than that, i got myself a 4gb Pendrive Sliq since i dont know where'd my old one go and thumb drives are cheap nowadays..Even Pendrive, which has a very good reputation for thumb drives, are selling 4gb for RM25..

My advice is that you better buy thumb drives of brands like Pendrive,Sandisk...Brands you've never heard of will also cost you around RM20 for 4gb,so its not worth it... 

Well, this year's PC Fair was no different to me from any other PC Fairs from the past..But still there are still some good deals going on , like my friends, Liang Sun got himself   2  3 in 1 Lexmark printers for RM 179 each .You can just throw away the printer once the ink runs out and buy a new printer since the ink costs RM 50 for each colour.

Well, you better see it for yourself..Great place to hang out if you're interested in computer stuffs..
