Earth Hour 2009

 

Well, this earth hour thingy is quite a big deal this year. Its everywhere..Tv stations, radio stations, newspaper, brochures, blogs…. Good thing that people still love the environment.

I was in aunt’s house this weekend for Cheng Beng, so my whole family celebrated Earth Hour together. Was shocked to see all the neighbors gave their support by switching off all their lights. Anyway, we actually switched off the lights and went out for supper at the nearby yet famous roadside burger shop.

Gemilang Burger, the self-acclaimed best burger shop in Alor Star. It’s next to the state museum.

刚拿了一些第一学期考试的成绩，真的是越考越“神”了。再此我也要感谢周围许多好兄弟们，在这美好时刻，与我有福同享，一起考到不是普通人能考到的“优秀”成绩。要设么科目，就有设么科目，要有多少分，就有多少分，不愧是“槟城最优秀的男生们”，难怪新副校长也不得不在周会上不停地称赞我们。

对不起，我是吃饱没事做来讲废话。

Singapore: Day One

Well, back from Singapore and here's something to share with you all...
Found cheap MAS tickets from Penang to Singapore, 626MYR for 2 person return flights..
Air Asia is around 600MYR too but gotta change flights in KL and they don't give meals..

That's my flight..

Now i have something to tell everyone, Malaysia Airline's food doesn't suck.. The food improved a lot.. Or maybe its just because i was hungry.. The spaghetti with meatballs taste great.. There was a bun, some biscuits and 2 bars of kit-kat.. Not bad for 50MYR air tickets.

Took a boat ride which took us around the river..

This is Singapore's famous reverse bungee jumping, you can hear the riders scream every 5 minutes..

If you get to go Clarke Quay, you should visit this stall, he sells Turkish Ice-Cream. Watch him demonstrate some tricks, anyway the ice cream tastes good, it's a bit sticky and it doesn't melts as fast as normal ice cream.

Slumdog Millionaire

Just downloaded and watched this movie. Well, due to the fact that this film had won tons of awards and everyone who watched it said it was amazing, so i've decided to have a "look see"..

After watching it, i only figured out why it had won dozens of grammys, academy awards and some awards we've never heard of..It was unique, amazing,fabulous,spectacular,incredible,amazing and any word that can describe this movie..The plot was great, the arrangement of the story was special..

Well, everyone MUST DEFINITELY watched it at least once..NO KIDDING..

Final Post from Singapore

Hey, currently in Changi International Airport Terminal 2 Gate E22. Will be boarding the plane from Singapore to Penang in 5 mins

Well, it was a nice experience. Goodbye Singapore and hello Penang again..

Bored...

So will be going back on Thursday.. Kidda bored with Singapore already..haha..
Maybe its because i'm not the shopping type..Malls are everywhere here..Malls connected to even more malls..Furthermore, i cant buy anything since the price here is same as in Penang only the currency exchange rate makes the prices 2.4 times more expensive..

So, rotting in the hotel the whole day today..Went to Takashimaya mall in my pyjamas this morning..Then went for swimming and sauna in the evening.. Basically wasted the whole day..

Well, Chinatown for me tomorrow..

Quick Update From Singapore

Hey, its day 2 for me in Singapore.. Currently at Orchard's Shangri-La serviced apartment..
Since i dont come here very often, have to say Singapore is better than i thought ( other than the long distance walking and taking MRTs of course)..Cant say its Singapore yet though since i've only been at Orchard, Marina Bay and Clarke Quay..

And my mum had just won a digital camera in a lucky draw exclusively for Malaysian visitors who registered online organised by the Singapore government..Anyway there were 10 of us.. Most of us got shopping vouchers.. Other than that, we got a backpack, a Nokia handphone, a set of chocolate related stuffs..

Well so far it was fun and tiring..And the only dissapointment had to be Manchester United's terrible defeat to Liverpool..

Hah, first post since...No idea..

Anyway, was browsing youtube randomly and few videos that are really impressing..

First is a 11 year old kid playing the song Flight of the Bumblebee..

And this is the real pro playing..One of the greatest pianist i've ever known..
