Last Minute Studies

Wohoo !! 3 weeks of brutal exams are finally over, faster i thought though…

Anyway, another group study with friends in McD a day before the first day of our exams, this time with fewer people.

Taking a break, actually not a break since we barely started studying..

 

 

 

We just love the unlimited refills of coffee so we can sit there for hours and hours…

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Got fed up with McD since it was freaking hot in there and decided to go to Coffee Bean.

        

Nothing much happened, some food and some last minute studying.. Unlike the few previous times of group studying with my friends, this time was a little more quiet..

Tonight will be the night where you see your neighbors watching tv at 3am, mamak stalls filled with crazy football fans, working people fall asleep during their work that morning and students have no idea how to do during their exams.

Yes, tonight( its tomorrow morning actually) will be the much anticipated

New Linkin Park Song For Transformers 2

Been busy with last minute studies for the ongoing Mid-Year exam..Haha..Burning midnight oil as always…

Anyway, i just found out my all time favourite band, Linkin Park has just released a new song for the upcoming Transformers 2 movie. It’s called New Divide, as every other song, it rocks!!! Check it out..

Chuck

Chuck is the name of a TV series. I guessed some people may heard of it since AXN does broadcast the show, but it’s way behind the latest episodes. Anyway, it’s a really entertaining series, it’s about a pc geek with top secrets installed in his head with 2 agents protecting him.

I’ve been watching this show since the first episode, now season 2 has just ended. 

Gotta say I'm loving this show with its great blend of romance action and comedy, those looking for some laughter should definitely watch this.

Primary School Friends Reunion at Win Yee’s House

One of my primary school friends, Win Yee who went to Australia when we were standard 5 had just came back for a couple weeks. She invited some of our ex-classmates to go over her place since we had never seen each other for some years now.

Too bad not many went there because most of us knew about it quite late and Benedict did a bad job of calling people to go. So there was just around 7 of us.

Anyway, her house is at Pearl Hill and it’s freaking large.

That’s Benedict who is still my schoolmate.

Then we went to buy burgers from the nearby stall and walked back up to her house.

Of course, chit-chatted for hours just about everything. Had burgers for dinner, then chips for desserts. Anyway, even Benedict was a bad organizer, he was a good entertainer, crapped a lot, got beaten a lot too.

All of us went back home around midnight then decided to come back the day after.. LOL..

Went to GP to watch Fast n Furious 4.. Not bad though..Then her mum drove us back to her house..

Moral Club Activity at Youth Park

The voluntary work at Youth Park is actually our annual activity on our agenda.               This year was no different, but unfortunately it was on Cheng Beng Day so we were expecting a lot of people couldn’t make it. Yet, thanks to many of our members and friends, around 40++ people came. We gathered at school and then went there on a bus we had prepared.

Surprisingly, many of them worked hard and actually cleaned the place the whole 2 hours.

Even though we had 40++ person, most of us cleaned the same place, so it was like our place was very clean while the other spots were still full of leafs.

Singapore: Day Two

First, we went to Singapore Flyer to collect our lucky draw prizes which only Malaysian tourists were eligible to enter. It was some sort of Visit Singapore program to encourage Malaysians to visit Singapore. We wanted to grab all the good prizes so we went there early in the morning, i heard we were the largest group to collect our prizes in the morning.

One by one, we collected our prizes. Most of us including me got ourselves 50SD voucher for Wisma Atria. My cousin, Jher Hau got himself a chocolate set and a bag of chocolate  which you need to heat it up using the set to eat it. My cousin sister got herself a F1 Sepang bag, her bf got himself a Nokia phone. And the biggest prize our group got belong to my mum which is a Nikon Coolpix camera.

After claiming our prize, we walked to the nearby Esplanade Mall. Just next to the mall, i saw this pub called DXO,full of my favourite team’s stuffs, Manchester United.

Since it was early in the morning, nothing much in the mall. Now i know why people don’t call Esplanade Esplanade, they call it the Durian.

Went to Raffles City Mall for lunch before heading out to Marina Bay to visit the newly built Marina Barrage.

 

It’s a dam which separates the man-made reservoir and the open sea. The purpose of it is to block the tides from the sea from entering the reservoir so the water in there is always clean. It also has pumps to pump out excess water from the reservoir out the ocean to prevent flooding.

 

Notice the colour difference between reservoir water and sea water..Underneath the bridge is the pumps to pump out the water.

If i’m not wrong, this green roof is the place where the solar panels are placed which powers the whole barrage. What a clever way of overcoming the problem of flood while providing clean water to the Singaporeans. Other than that, it is environmental friendly too.I wonder when will our country manage to build something like that?

Then, went for a walk at Orchard Road before heading back to the apartment.
