First, we went to Singapore Flyer to collect our lucky draw prizes which only Malaysian tourists were eligible to enter. It was some sort of Visit Singapore program to encourage Malaysians to visit Singapore. We wanted to grab all the good prizes so we went there early in the morning, i heard we were the largest group to collect our prizes in the morning.

One by one, we collected our prizes. Most of us including me got ourselves 50SD voucher for Wisma Atria. My cousin, Jher Hau got himself a chocolate set and a bag of chocolate which you need to heat it up using the set to eat it. My cousin sister got herself a F1 Sepang bag, her bf got himself a Nokia phone. And the biggest prize our group got belong to my mum which is a Nikon Coolpix camera.

After claiming our prize, we walked to the nearby Esplanade Mall. Just next to the mall, i saw this pub called DXO,full of my favourite team’s stuffs, Manchester United.

Since it was early in the morning, nothing much in the mall. Now i know why people don’t call Esplanade Esplanade, they call it the Durian.
Went to Raffles City Mall for lunch before heading out to Marina Bay to visit the newly built Marina Barrage.
It’s a dam which separates the man-made reservoir and the open sea. The purpose of it is to block the tides from the sea from entering the reservoir so the water in there is always clean. It also has pumps to pump out excess water from the reservoir out the ocean to prevent flooding.
Notice the colour difference between reservoir water and sea water..Underneath the bridge is the pumps to pump out the water.
If i’m not wrong, this green roof is the place where the solar panels are placed which powers the whole barrage. What a clever way of overcoming the problem of flood while providing clean water to the Singaporeans. Other than that, it is environmental friendly too.I wonder when will our country manage to build something like that?

Then, went for a walk at Orchard Road before heading back to the apartment.
